Ankle deep in the ashes of genesis, we came upon it.
Choirs despair; voices rife with terror-
Tremor about us that home is but a distant rock among the stars.
Confronted by an artifact of god in desolate open space,
It’s what we don’t know that scares us the most,
Offers us existential insignificance.
What import bear we, pretenders of divine instruction?
This planet is swallowed in an endless spatial vortex,
while we preach of being chosen and created.
Star Child, we're trying to breathe, trying to reach you.
This mission is too important
To allow ourselves to jeopardize. It's time to evolve!
Confronted by an artifact of god.
Submerged in oceans of divine nihilism. Trying to breathe.
Star Child, we’re trying to breathe, trying to reach you.
We are searching for reasons that we don't know exist
By asking empty questions.
Been listening to this since 2013. Eventually tried to track down a CD but now I'm starting to go digital. So, has 7 years of listening to this EP dulled the experience? Not even slightly. Amazing work. From Nathan's ghost beats on the snare, polyrhythmic measures and insane kick pedal work, Eric's unique tone on vocals and both Aaron and Josh's melodies and interesting structures. Just hope they get the chance to tour England soon. JAY DYER
I made love with my girlfriend so many times on this album. It is incredible. The songs are so beautiful and the rythm so well coordinated for this kind of moment... Anyway, always good to listen to it in the bus too Faugus
